Jonas Stark Johnson presented a paper titled “The Gunsmith: Curators of America’s Gun Culture” at the inaugural Bringing Research and Innovation into the Debate on Guns in Society (BRIDGS) symposium, hosted by the Center for the Study of Guns in Society at Arizona State University. Jonas was also named a BRIDGS Emergent Scholar Fellow for the 2025 cohort.

Additionally, Jonas and Alaa Amr Saad have been accepted to co-teach an asynchronous AGHI Humanities Blast Summer Course provisionally titled “Craft and Power: The Anthropology of Making in the 21st Century.”
