Marios Falaris, a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology, has been named a finalist in the University-wide doctoral research communication competition, “Empower Your Pitch! 2023“ Research Communication Competition. The competition is open to doctoral students in all disciplines and schools across JHU, participants must communicate the value of their research to diverse audiences in three minutes or less.
Marios was selected for their dissertation research presentation, entitled “Kashmiri masculinities on the way: the work of intimacy under military occupation.” only twelve students were chosen from across all Johns Hopkins PhD programs, including two from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.
