Graduate students are an integral part of our department who do quality work that spans the global. Currently, our students are conducting fieldwork and study worldwide including the following countries and regions: South Africa, Sri Lanka, France, Argentina, Peru, Lebanon, India, Iraq, Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, Morocco, South Korea and Thailand. Our students have continued to successfully compete for funding resulting in multiple students receiving support from such sources as the National Science Foundation, the Social Science Research Council and from the Wenner Gren Foundation. A number of our students have been contributing to the quality of education at Johns Hopkins University through teaching fellowships awarded through the university in order provide graduate students with valuable teaching experience while still in training.
