Grad Student David Platzer Presents at Numerous Autism Focused Events

While writing his dissertation, focusing on disability employment in the technology industry, David has spoken to a number of Bay Area autism organizations. This public anthropology has aimed to translate the findings of his research into practical terms for an audience unfamiliar with anthropological methods and the language of its technical idioms. In this capacity, he has spoken to the SF Bay Autism Society, AASCEND, CIP, and The Specialist’s Guild.

Most of his presentations, recently, have been forms of “public anthropology,” translating his research findings into practical suggestions for adults on the autism spectrum and their families.
